Telecommunication servers available from Sun start with the low-priced Netra X1 application server through various Carrier-Grade t, new T and ct models up to the fault tolerant ft 1800. These robust and competitive servers are ideal for internet and application service providers, as they are compact, modular, and rack-mountable. All are based on the UltraSPARC platform running Solaris and have high-availibility features such as lights-out management, automatic server restart and hot pluggable components. The carrier-grade servers are certified to meet and exceed the Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) level 3 standards.
