The enhanced features include :-
  • Structure or slice orientated input
( full control over the sequence of operation)
  • Optimised user interface
  • Save partial outline sets
  • Add margins
  • View/create composite volumes
  • Interpolate/extrapolate structures
  • Length and angle measurement
  • Configurable defaults for standard structures
The New Outlining software option may be licensed for use on multiple planning workstations and for use on other suitable displays (PC Windows 95/98/NT) networked to a Target2 or Prism-tps workstation acting as a VNC server.

DICOM Link
The new DICOM Link 1.3 software has been developed from the previous AdvantageSim-Target2 Link option.

DICOM Link is a DICOM Storage Class Service Provider (SCP) that enables the transfer to Target2 and Prism-tps of various Information Objects conforming to the DICOM 3.0 standard. The Information Objects currently supported are CT Image, MR Image, and GE Private RT Plan.

DICOM Link supercedes the Target2 Network Images software ('nettran'), that is no longer supported. It has a more flexible graphical user interface, uses Merge Technologies DICOM toolkit, and is fully supported.

MLC
A software option has been developed out of our collaboration with Royal Marsden Hospital, to model multileaf collimators on Target2 and Prism-tps.

The package provides "Beams Eye View" definition of MLC leaves, generates MLC equivalent blocks for dosimetry calculations, and downloads leaf positions to the therapy machine's MLC interface.

This software is in clinical use at Royal Marsden and is being evaluated prior to clinical implementation at Christie Hospital Manchester. The software is in development and currently supports the Elekta (Philips) multi-leaf collimator.

Utilities
Block Cutter Interface -
software option to produce an ASCII file containing the block definitions from external beam plans in a format suitable for transfer to block-cutting machines.
